Algeria: Thousands-strong mob of “students” queues for visa to enter France

Yesterday, thousands of “students” mobbed the French Cultural Centre in Algiers, hoping to get a visa. The queue was for the first stage of the application process, which requires a French language exam to be passed. Some had waited all night.
